There are two options on the Edit menu that allow you to copy a photo to the Windows clipboard.  For these two options to work there must be a photo displayed in the main viewer.  The first option, Copy Viewer Photo, will copy only the visible part of the photo to the clipboard.  So for example, if you zoomed in on a large photo so that only a head shot was visible, only the head shot would be copied to the Windows Clipboard.  The second option, Copy Full Size Photo, will copy the entire image to the Windows Clipboard so it may be "pasted" into another application like Microsoft Word.
